DescriptionA Boulton & Watt steam engine was installed in 1809 to pump water from the River Taff up to the Glamorganshire Canal (nprn 34425), some 80m to the west. Nothing is marked on the 1:10 000 map of 1970, suggesting that there are no extant remains of the site; a field visit in March 1979 confirmed that there are no remains, except for a brick-arched culvert visible in the bank above Glantaff Road.
