Description
1. Park/gardens portrayed by OS County series (Radnor. XV.15 1889); associated with:
Llwyn Barried Hall (Nprn81346).
Includes: Walled garden (Nprn30785).
RCAHMW AP945071/62

The site is depicted on OS 25 inch plans 1889 and 1903 set in clumped woodland and pasture. Its principal feature was a walled quartered kitchen garden with sundial, clearly having a wall thicker than normal. In reality this has stone-arched gateways thought (by CSB) to be similar to those employed by Thomas Johnes in Mrs Johnes' Garden at Hafod, from which it is possibly copied.

2. This garden is depicted on the Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25-inch map of Radnorshire XV, sheet 15 (1903). Its main elements on that map include carriage drive, pond and walk. C.H. Nicholas, RCAHMW, 25th August 2006.
