Coedpenmaen Lock, no.26, on the Glamorganshire Canal (nprn 34425) was immediately west of the A470 dual carriageway at the east end of Ralph Street; the lock keeper's cottage (nprn 85394) stood to the east. On 06 February 1992 the lock was noted as largely hidden, but apparently intact under spoil and undergrowth, with stones protruding through the grass and brambles. The site had been completely destroyed and built over by 19 May 1993.
