DescriptionA group of buildings, including longhuts, of medieval or later date lie close to a stream on the north side of Mynydd Du, below Foel Fraith.
The most prominent features are as follows:
SN76371889: longhut 11.5m (NE-SW) by 5m, walls spread to 1.5m wide and 0.3m high. A cross wall divides the building into two compartments, the larger on the south-west.
SN76351884, longhut 8.5m (NE-SW) by 5m overall, walls spread to 1.5m wide and 0.4m high. There is a cross wall at centre and an entrance at the north-east end of the south-east side.
SN76291881: rectangular building 26m (E-W) by 4.5m overall, best preserved on the east where stone coursing survives on the north, east and south walls up to 1m high and 0.8m wide. A number of cross-walls subdivide the building. Smaller, less well-defined, structures are also noted in the vicinity.
