A substantial stone-built mid-C18th farmhouse with symmetrical front and hipped roof. The central stair-passage plan is largely unaltered. The rear unit now a kitchen etc appear older. The listing provides a detailed description. Listed grade II* as a well-preserved mid-Georgian house for its associations with James Watt.
