Royal Commission aerial reconnaissance during the 2018 drought, on 4th July, discovered cropmarks of an Iron Age or Romano-British univallate defended enclosure, measuring 50m square with a broad ditch. The enclosure has rounded corners, but the construction of the circuit is too uneven to be interpreted as a Roman military site.
