DescriptionRoyal Commission aerial reconnaissance in July 2018 revealed parchmarks of at least one small square barrow with a central burial pit on a slight rise of ground above Pont y Felindre, Bryncrug, at the site grid reference. Incomplete parchmarks suggest at least one other small square barrow to the south-east, on the other side of the road at SH 6149 0316. There are wider spreading parchmarks of further ditched features in the vicinity (NPRN 423851). The site lies below rising hills, overlooking the minor river of Afon Fathew.
Discovered during the 2018 drought.
