Lammas is an eco village based around Tir-y-Gafael, which used to be a traditional sheep rearing farm. The project was started in 2009, with the aim that 'a collective of eco-smallholdings working together [would] create and sustain a culture of land-based self-reliance.' The village was featured in episode 6, series 17 of Channel 4's Grand Designs.
