Thought to be the oldest building in Cwmorthin. Recent dendrochronology dates from the fireplace lintel located in the earliest part of the houserecord 1430 and 1490 for growth with the build likely around 1510-1530.
Excavation and survey have been undertaken at the site by The Cwmorthin Project from where this information is taken (2015).
