Part of the counter-balance incline that lowered finished slates from the mill (NPRN 415671) on Floor 6 to Floor 5. It is likely to date from at least the 1850s and only the stone walls and timber of the drum house survives. Attached to this drum house is a smithy that was added to the mill around 1900.
