Royal Commission aerial reconnaissance on 9th July 2018, during the 2018 drought, recorded extensive cropmarks of a large concentric antenna-style defended enclosure of Iron Age type, located in on a south-facing hillslope below the summit. It seems that the north-eastern arc of the outer enclosure was recorded as a cropmark on 21st July 2006. These new photographs show a sub-rectangular, broad-ditched settlement enclosure around 85m across set just above the tree line with a SW facing gateway. Two narrow palisade-style ditches run out from the gateway, linking to a wide outer curvilinear enclosure around 270m across. Several pits or house platforms are visible on cropmarks within the central enclosure, and on the approaches. The site would repay geophysical survey.
