DescriptionTwo embarkation hards, Neyland West Hard/WN1 (A) and Neyland East Hard/WN2 (B), designed for loading two Landing Ship Tanks (LST) at a time for D-Day + 1 during the Second World War. The hards consisted of concrete roadways leading to a rectangular hard-standing above the high tide mark. Below on the foreshore was a rectangular hard made of inter-locking concrete blocks called `biscuits?. WN1 is still used by Neyland Yacht Club.
