RCAHMW aerial reconnaissance on 3rd March 2005 (image refs: 2005/5041-47, 48, 49) identified extensive remains of ridge and furrow cultivation across Vaynol Hall park, chiefly in the area south of the lake although the lake bisects part of the field system.
