Edwardsville Bridge is an impressive single elliptical arched bridge, formerly carrying the Merthyr Tramroad (nprn 91513) over the River Taff and now carrying a minor road. Both this and the Victoria bridge (nprn 34852) downstream were originally constructed with a timber span between stone abutments in 1800-1802 but were rebuilt as stone arched bridges in or after 1815, which survive in their present form.
