Lock 9 or Duke's Lock or Trebannws Upper Lock (1,158m from Swansea Basin). This is immediately north of the bridge which a twelve step stair leads on to the lock platform. This lock, with a relatively intact lower gate, has a secondary, cast-iron gland in its upper gate chamber. This lock at 'Craig-y-Duke' was originally called 'Duke's Lock'.
