PeriodPost Medieval, 18th Century
DescriptionStone-arched bridge, also known as Castle Bridge, with towing path on the north side, constructed to carry North Road over the Glamorganshire Canal (nprn 34425). The bridge was later widened on the east side to carry the road renamed Kingsway. The bridge now carries a pedestrian subway under the road; the original masonry survives and an iron towrope rubbing post at the north west corner is visible.
