Description
An electricity sub-station built in the first half of the twentieth century, possibly in the 1920s. Situated at the south-west endo the East Bute Dock, north of the lock, it was a red brick building with white stone or concreate dressings. The north-east and south western gable ends had decorated corner stones near the roofline with engraved volute designs and were topped by central open pediments. The building fell into disuse and disrepair and was roofless by the mid-1980s. It has since been demolished.
