DescriptionThe James, or 'Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau' Memorial commemorates the Welsh National Anthem's author and composer Evan James and James James. Designed by Sir W Goscombe John, it consists of two bronze figures, one representing music and the other poetry. The monument was mounted on a pedestal of blue pennant stone from the nearby Graig yr Hesg Quarry, and was unveiled in July 1930 at Ynysangharad Park.
