Description
Depicted on the Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25-inch map of Caernarvonshire XX, sheet 3 (1900). C.H. Nicholas, RCAHMW, 9th August 2006.

A monumental mid nineteenth century cattle or horse, drinking trough. It takes the form of a small temple or mausoleum, two piers of granite ashlar supporting a plain cornice and pediment of massive sandstone blocks. Between the piers is a recess housing the trough. This is faced by a massive slate slab, now topped by brickwork. The roof is of finely jointed sandstone slabs and the side and rear walls are of sandstone rubble.

Built as part of a model estate village (NPRN 401152).
