DescriptionA verandahed Colonial-style timber-built and weather-boarded dwelling raised over a cellar and stone plinth. The principal rooms open onto the south-facing verandah. Built by the Green-Price estate about 1887 for the manager of Stud Farm. Later used as a shooting lodge, when the detached verandahed dining-room to the east was built. The two ranges are now linked. There is an adjacent timber-framed barn (SO 2224 6806), probably C17th in origin, which was enlarged (raised) in the C19th. The original barn seems to have had three bays with two hipped end half-bays. (2003.02.11/RCAHMW/RFS)
