DescriptionA spread of broken tile and burnt stone was cleared to reveal a Roman tile kiln, 2.5m by 3.0m internally. Archaeomagnetic dating indicated a period of use centring on 100 AD. A drainage gully and a waster tip were also recorded. It is thought that any associated workshop or stores, would have lain upslope to the south-west.
