Description
Llanrwst Almshouses were founded by Sir John Wynn c1610-1612 and restored in the 19th and 20th centuries. Originally built as twelve, one room dwellings in six two-storey bays, the surviving buildings now are one and a half storeys of rubble construction with slate roofs. There are gabled doormer windows with a restored three-light mullioned sash window to the ground floor. Inside, the ground floor rooms have massive stop-chamfered beams and joists and 19th century fireplaces.
