Event and Historical Information:
The MARY ANN was a 25nt wooden smack built in 1866 at Milford Haven. At time of loss, on 14 May 1906, the vessel was owned by W James of Newport (Dyfed). The smack was on passage from Newport to Swansea under the command of S Griffiths, when it went ashore on Strumble Head. The smack later floated off at high tide and was wrecked on Abermawr beach.
