1. Type 22 pillbox Record derived from Defence of Britain Project (Record Number 11352)
2. Scheduled area (SAM CD211, 23rd September 2009) includes nine other pillboxes, built between 1940-1941, around the perimeter of the airfield to safeguard it from potential war-time attack. This pillbox corresponds to Area F in the schedule.
