Description
A split-level house platform is located close to, and just above, a path in Clyne Gardens, cut into gently rising ground on the NW side of Brockhole.
It measures, overall, 18.2m (NW-SE) by 9.7m. The upper level area measures 7.2m by 2.4m and is cut back 0.6m deep, the rectangular hood extending along most of platform sides.
The lower level, 0.5m below the upper, measures 4.9m by 4m. Wider than the upper level, its long axis is offset to the SW with respect to the upper level. Its front end and sides are embanked, giving a height for the platform lip of 1m, 0.5m internally. The side banks are 0.6m high internally and 0.3m externally; the lower platform interior therefore has a 'dished' appearance.

The site is overgrown with rhododendron and other planted species, especially at the upper end. An oak tree grows from the lower lip.
