DescriptionThe building is in the southeast corner of a large walled enclosure, with a modern forestry commission track to the east. The rectangular building was a house and built on level ground. The walls are mortared with lime and are built from stone and are faced internally with rough stone and faced externally with cut stone. They are 1m thick and not built on orthostats. The hearth is in centre of short wall. The doorway is in end of short wall. The eaves where they survive are 1.5m high. The building measures internally 6m by 6m. Remains of a post-medieval house. SMR 9711. Fireplace in the centre of the northeast wall. Possible entrance in the southwest wall is now got an ash tree growing in the space amongst the masonry. The building is in an enclosure 80m x 80m with an modern gate in the southwest corner and eastern wall and a large derelict barn along the eastern wall.
