DescriptionA two storey house, possibly later sixteenth century, altered as an outbuilding or cottage at Muriau (NPRN 406140), now converted as a dwelling.
The house has walls of stone rubble and, prior to recent work, had a gabled roof covered with old coarse slates. It has a short square chimney stack in the west gable end. Any original openings have been much altered. The interior has a large fireplace with a wooden lintle and a stone spiral stair in the west gable wall.
The 1st edition OS County series (Caernarvon. XXXIV.13 1889) shows the house as part of a longer, irregular range, with five small yards or pens on the north. It was possibly used as a piggery and swill house.
