DescriptionFormerly the New Inn, through which the theatre (NPRN 405816) behind was entered. Now two separate properties with shops below and flats or other accommodation above.
A three storey building of rendered stone rubble. The gabled slate roof is framed by brick end chimney stacks.
The building presents a three window front to the street. This has a dressed stone plinth and is framed by end pilasters with capitals.
The two window south-east section has a modern shopfront, replacing what may have been the original pub window. The earlier doorway and doorcase may have been retained.
The north-west section has a comparatively early shopfront.
A three storey range projects at the rear, abutting the theatre.
Part of a brewery in the late nineteenth-early twentieth century (see NPRN 85129).
