Blackcliff Wood camp is located on a steep-sided spur above the Wye Valley. It is an oval enclosure measuring about 72m north-west by south-east by 46m. It is defined by a bank and ditch across the neck of its promontory to the south-west, elsewhere by scarps above steep natural slopes. The enclosure lies within woodland.
