The following information is included in the scheduled monument summary from Cadw:

The monument comprises the remains of a burial cairn, with a kerb of edge-set stones defining the edge, which probably dates to the Bronze Age (c.2300 BC - 800 BC). The cairn measures 8m in diameter and as well as the kerb of stones, is also defined by a possible shallow external ditch measuring 1.5m wide. At the centre of the cairn is a well defined stone-lined burial cist with a displaced capstone. It lies on a NW facing slope in a remote upland location. The monument is of national importance for its potential to enhance our knowledge of prehistoric burial and ritual practices. The monument is an important relic of a prehistoric funerary and ritual landscape and retains significant archaeological potential, with a strong probability of the presence of both structural evidence and intact burial or ritual deposits, as well as a preserved prehistoric land surface of high environmental potential. Kerb cairns may be part of a larger cluster of monuments and their importance can further enhanced by their group value. The scheduled area comprises the remains described and areas around them within which related evidence may be expected to survive. It is circular and measures 30m in diameter, centred on the cairn.
