Extensive wetland landscape recorded during Royal Commission aerial photography.
Aerial reconnaissance on 3rd October 2024 recorded an oval embanked enclosure measuring 100m across at SH 3288 3565, thought at the time to be a potential low-lying defended enclosure or 'marsh fort'. However airborne LiDAR shows other alluvial ridges and banks nearby. The embanked oval is therefore more likely to be a pingo left by glacial action.
