Royal Commission aerial reconnaissance on 9th July 2018, during the 2018 drought, revealed an enclosure and series of linear ditches to the east and south of Llwyn y gog farm. To the north-east of the farm is a D-shaped cropmark enclosure measuring c.70m across, adjoined to further linears. To the south of the farm are a series of two or three angular ditches, describing the southern end of a complex. It is difficult to assign a date to the enclosures; the D-shaped enclosure could be of prehistoric or medieval date. The angular ditches could be fragments of a Roman military site, now built over, but they may also be of medieval or post-medieval date. Geophysical survey would shed further light.
