Royal Commission aerial reconnaissance on 9th July 2018, during the 2018 drought, revealed the plan of the Llangan ring ditch, first recorded during Dyfed Archaeological Trust aerial reconnaissance in 1989. The cropmark shows a broad-ditched circular plough-levelled monument approx. 35m diameter. The current record describes a ring ditch, but the new 2018 aerial photos suggest an entrance gap on the south side - more suggestive of a hengiform monument or small defended settlement.
