Cofnod Safle

Quarry first shown on 2nd ed county OS map, probably providing stone for Maerdy No 3 pit (nprn 33505). Th quarry is approximately 10m wide and up to 15m high on a very steep hillside. The OS map depicts a tramway that conveyed stone to the colliery but no trace of this was found on a very overgrown site.
