Royal Commission aerial reconnaissance on 11th July 2018, during the 2018 drought, identified cropmarks of a D-shaped univallate promontory fort measuring 90m across, sited on the north-facing promontory edge north of St Elvis Farm, overlooking the spring and minor valley of Ffynnon Dogvael. The enclosure may be prehistoric, or early medieval.
