In 1984, three fields on Dolyrychain farm were used to create the current racecourse for the Tregaron trotting races. (The previous course was located on Deri Llanio fields, near Llanddewi Brefi, and had been used since the first meeting of the Tregaron Trotting Club on 29th July 1980.) The Dolyrychain track is oval shaped, with a perimeter of approximately 830 metres. It is situated approximately a mile south west of Pontrhydfendigaid.
