DisgrifiadMorvil 2 stands in the former churchyard of the now-redundant St John's Church, Morvil (NPRN 308790), to the south of the church - some 10m south of Morvil 1 (NPRN 304368). It is thought to have been noted in 1908 and was recorded in 1914.
The stone is a very rough, uneven dolerite pillar with roughly rectangular top and triangle base. The triangular base is shaped, whereas the top is not, indicating that the monument is unfinished. The carved face is stepped, with the carving on its upper, rectangular top. It is carved with an uneven linear cross, whose horizontal cross-arms are longer than the upper cross-arm and stem. The monument is of uncertain date, but the punched technique used and the weathering of the carving indicate that it is of some antiquity.
