DisgrifiadMathry 2 is built into the external west face of the churchyard wall at Church of the Holy Martyrs, Mathry (NPRN 412501), just south of Mathry 3 (NPRN 423414). It was moved to its current location in 1901, when it was removed from the wall of Rhoslanog Farmhouse, a possible chapel or cemetery site (NPRN 421417) some 1.6km west of the church.
The stone is a rough, unshaped pillar-slab with pointed top, of rhyolite lava. Dimensions are given as height 108cm x width 46cm max. x diameter not known. Only one face is visible. It is incised with a linear, equal-arm ring-cross within a ring, set within an outer ring. The carving is thought to date to the 7th-9th century and the cross within a ring is identical to that on Mathry 3.
