DisgrifiadA fragmentary cross-carved stone found within the barrow during during the 1880 excavation of Brownslade Barrow (NPRN 94225), a probable Bronze Age barrow and early medieval cemetery. It may have functioned as an early medieval or later grave marker.
The stone is now lost. It is recorded as being fragmentary, consisting of eight adjoining pieces. Measurements are given as 25.5cm height x 16.5cm width. The face is shown as incised with a linear, equal-armed cross within a lozenge-shaped ring. Other examples of stones with crosses within lozenge-shaped rings are Silian 3 (NPRN 419114) and Llanllawer 3.
