DisgrifiadA section of the A477 road between St Clears and Red Roses, via Llanddowror, was developed with a £68 million bypass begun in 2012 and opened in April 2014. Together with the A40, this route forms part of the Trans European Road Network linking West Wales with the rest of Europe. The route is also the main access for ferry traffic to and from the Republic of Ireland using the port at Pembroke Dock
Archaeological excavations on the line of the bypass were recorded during RCAHMW aerial reconnaissance on 28th March 2012.
