DisgrifiadThe 400 yard firing position for this range (NPRN 419922) is a sandy bank 50m long, aligned north-south, and 1.3m high. Its width of 22m suggests this is essentially a natural feature with its rear scarp accentuated, as depicted on OS 25-inch plans. At the foot of the rear scarp is a trench lined with corrugated iron sheets, 24m long and about 0.9m wide though now largely slumped and infilled.
