The church school at Golden Grove was designed by Henry Ashton and built in 1848. It is located some 20m north of the north churchyard boundary of ST Michael's Church (NPRN 263). The neo-Tudor style of the school echoes that of the mansion and consists of a master's house between a two window boys schoolroom and a smaller one-window girls schoolroom. Above each of the schoolroom windows is a scroll tablet with the inscription 'Fear God'.
