DisgrifiadThis row of three rooms was built, probably in 1859, at the entrance of the Level 4 adit which was completed in that year. The building next to the tramway had a weighbridge house on the ground floor with a barrack above; the next was a two-storey building with fireplaces on both floors, and the third was single-storey, built at a higher level and again with a fireplace. The eastern building shows some attempt at architectural decoration, with a porch canopy and a carved cornice. At a later date a smithy was built on the north side.
A well-built slate track leads westwards to a privy, roofed with large slate slabs and built over a stream.
