In 2003 a metalwork assemblage discovered by metal detectorists containing cauldron fragments and Amorican axes was reported to the Portable Antiquities Scheme. Excavations and geophysics carried out by the Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales has uncovered settlement and ritual activity on the site dating from the Bronze Age to the Romano-British period.
Site reports have been published in Archaeology in Wales (AW) 44 (2004), pages 77-81 and AW 45 (2005) pages 91-92.
