The oil store at Boston Lodge Raiway Works (nprn 91422) dates from the mid-nineteenth century. It is built in local slatey rubble with a slate roof. The west gable end has projecting masonry at the north corner which formed the springing for an arch that formerly spanned an adjacent railway siding.
