1. 1840, forge and rolling mill building with elaborate cast iron roof and arcades; survived prior to demolition in 1977.

2. Part of Pentyrch Ironworks. Pig iron from Pentyrch Furnaces (34412) was reheated and rolled into plates for the Melingriffith Tinplate works (40456); the three sites were linked by the narrow gauge Melingriffith and Pentyrch Railway (91548).
