Disgrifiad
1. Rare, locomotive-type steam boiler used to power a haulage engine for a coal level at the head of the Rhondda Fawr, probably operating in the 1880s. The surrounding remains of coal working and quarrying cover an area some 350m E-W x 150m and straddle the Rhondda Fawr (centred on SN 9237 0150); they include at least four coal levels, a quarry and the formation of a tramway.

2. Locomotive-type boiler survives outside small level with superb outcrops of the top horizons of the Coal Measures.
