Saw mill and short tramway in the railway station (nprn 34737) yard shown on OS 25in map, sheet CM XIV.16, 1906, but gone by 1948. The sawmill was probably water powered as a weir on the Nant Gwen, sluice and short length of mill race, which may have passed under the railway yard embankment, is shown on the map at SN 443 359.
