Part of the Liverpool and Holyhead Telegraph (nprn 300822).
Station built in 1848 to replace the 1836 one (nprn 300826) which was thought to be on the course of the Chester and Holyhead Railway then under construction. The site is now below the high water level and has been eroded by the sea.
