DisgrifiadTroed-y-Rhiw is an oval hillslope enclosure, with an internal bank, measuring 91m x 74m. There is an additional antenna entrance on the north east noted during aerial reconnaissance, c56m long and 10m wide, definded by two parallel ditches and banks.
The site was visited in 2002 by T Driver, where it was confirmed that the local topography was such that the hillslope enclosure incorporated a slight hollow or concavity in the ground. Coupled with the evidence of the antenna entrance it may be that this was a site designed for corralling stock, aided by the hollow in the hillslope, rather than purely for settlement. As such it would have much in common with the Ruel Uchaf enclosure to the north at Bow Street (NPRN 300567) which also encloses a pronounced hillslope concavity.
